Oprah is on Twitter! The picture above is her first official tweet on the hottest microblogging / social network now.

Oprah Winfrey officially joined Twitter after naming Asthon Kutcher as Twitter King. CNET announces Oprah’s first day as Twitter’s Big Day! And 15 minutes after her signed-up, she already have 76,000 followers, and the end of her first day (as of this posting), she have 299,834 followers.

On her first day, Oprah only made 10 tweets, and what interesting tweets they were! She tweeted The Shaq and , pledged additional 20,000 mosquito nets to Demi Moore.

And if you noticed Oprah’s first tweet were in ALL CAPS, Shaq was quick on the button and reminded her that her Caps lock is On. Would anyone dare to tell that her too?

Interesting names she follows too – Larry King, Ellen DeGeneres, and of course Kutcher and Moore. She only follow 10 Twitterers at present – well, a person in her status can really who to follow.

Not that she really needs it, but with Kutcher’s 1 million ‘influence’ on Twitterville, expect Oprah’s to reach that mark too… and perhaps in record breaking time.

With Oprah on Twitter, we can expect it to be on limelight more often now – and not to mention, and an even busier network.

No, I haven’t followed any of these celebrities yet. I’m afraid I might get overwhelmed should they follow back.

Of course, it doesn’t mean that I will not follow them ever.

The YouTube is fast becoming a great venue for artists to showcase their talents (including a lot us frustrated ones)

And Ellen DeGeneres seem to be fond of finding talents, especially Filipinos on the said medium.  Remember Charice Pempengco? She saw her on YouTube and invited her on her show and since then Charice has become an international sensation, appearing on Oprah and even performing in an Obama event.

Now, Ellen found two more great talents on YouTube who staged their performance inside the bathroom.

They are Erin and Roxanne, who called themselves Rin On The Rox. They have uploaded quite a number of video on YouTube showing their great talents. You can check all their videos at their YouTube channel hiphoprox (I am already subscribed ).

But Ellen believe that they deserve to have more than the bathroom as their stage. That’s why she invited them on her show… adding that they have a beautiful bathroom there.

Indeed, a talent is a talent, event if you express it in the bathroom, if it’s really good it will come out.

So will Rin On The Rox follow the way of Charice Pempengco?

Too early too tell, but with their talents (and charm ) that is not a remote possibility.

In the meantime, I will convince my kids to form that family band I’ve been planning to when they’re old enough.
