The Struggling Blogger

If I write, will you read? If I beg, will you feed?

Struggling all over the blogosphere

Because I said I will bury myself and immersed myself with words, verses and rhetoric, and my blogs seem to be not enough for me for the “burying process,” I had a crazy idea of guest posting in as many blogs as I can, given a specific period of time.

So I asked some of my friends if they can accommodate me in their blogs, and fortunately I got affirmative answers. I tried to get as varied niche as possible, although mostly were poetry, at least they speak of different moods.

This is all part of my promise to write it all down, and share as much of myself to my readers. And I got 12 opportunities to write it all down in different blogs.

And this was how The Struggling Blogger was struggling all over the blogosphere.

Shut up, my heart
A short poem about how one tells his heart to stay put, so as not to feel the pain, and heal him from the hurting he already has.   My first Guest post in this marathon and I’m thankful Paige was very much willing to accommodate me.

Painting Words
Because a poet is not always good with brushes and strokes, he uses words to paint the beauty that he sees. My first guest post at Jena Isle’s Gewgaw Writings

Nurturing Kids Natural Talent
My first non-poem guest post in this list. Because Holly wanted me to share, not just my kids’ talents, but what I am doing in order to help them enhance and develop their gift.

A struggling, prolific blogger
Not a guest post actually, but I was a featured blogger in Bloggista. It wasn’t my schedule yet, but I asked Roel to let it coincide with my guest posting marathon. Get to know me more as I try to answer his questions in his interview.

Let go, let God
An inspirational poem hosted by John Bejo. A poem I wrote a long time ago and talks of how one should stop worrying about the daily concerns, and instead lift it all up to Him for He will never forsake us.

UnPerfect Timing
My guest post at Zorlone’s 140 Flash Fiction, and the most challenging one in this list. Imagine trying to compress the story in 140 words. Good thing the good doctor helped me finish it. A story of what one thought was a perfect opportunity, actually was a case of being there at the wrong time.

Salamat Keng Uran (Thank you for the rain)
Because I am a Kapampangan, it is but expected that I also write Kapampangan poems, and I was fortunate to have friends to host my poem, thanks to the tandem of Jaypee and Jules. The poem speaks of how the rain helps one hide his tears and pains.

Luha Sa Aking Mata (Tears in my eyes)
A Tagalog poem, I wrote way back in 1998. The poem was composed actually while I was riding a bus on the way to work which was far from home – the pains and the struggles one has to overcome for the sake of his family. A perfect fit for Ever’s blog which was intended to defeat homesickness.

Facebook and my kids
a very special guest post. Not only did I manage to land a page in Jan’s blog, but it finally broke his long spell of silence, and I hope that it will help him write to exhale once more. My article tells how a parent like me, can actually use social media like Facebook, to have a good communication with the kids.

Sometime… Somewhere…
A poem about how one love, unreciprocated it may be, just wouldn’t give up. But instead, held on to the hope that sometime… somewhere… somehow… his love will be answered. My second guest post at Gewgaw Writings for my guest blogging marathon.

Unfounded fear
What do you think was the earliest concern of a single father like me regarding his daughter? You have no idea. Read my guest post at Gem’s blog about single parenting to see what it was, and why it was actually another useless anxiety.

I Can Only Dream Of You
And what a way to wrap up my guest blogging marathon! I sang again! To be able to sing in a singer’s blog, you either have to be really good, or is a friend of the host. Fortunately for me, Rey is a good friend and accommodated my original composition – of yet another unattainable love – in his blog, with an interview to boot.

And there you are. My list of guest blogging marathon for the last week, and I would like to extend my thanks to all my blogger friends for giving in to my whim and helped me in burying myself as I try to write it all down.

But then, the process is still far from over…

    Hi Frank!

It always scare me when somebody said I inspire them, that means I have to watch myself hahaha!

Thanks for those kind words, and for dropping by my humble abode.

Nice blog you have. Keep on writing ;)
