Be Happy: Original Composition
When I am not spewing rants and gibberish thoughts on my blogs, or when I am not killing anyone in my short stories, waxing some poetic woes, shooting videos, or doing some doodles, I can be found strumming on the guitar, singing my blues away.
And most of the time, what I played on my guitar are my original compositions. Yes, believe it or not, the struggling blogger is a struggling songwriter. Just another one of the medium I express myself. You can say that I have a multi-faceted insanity.
The latest of my so-called ‘original compositions’ is one called Be Happy.
As ironic as it may sound, the song isn’t really a happy one, but wishing someone happy, at the expense of losing one’s own happiness.
Sounds confusing? Anyway, I made a video of the song and uploaded it on my YouTube channel.
You can say that this video is made up of one-part depression and one-part guts.
Anyway, here’s the song I called Be Happy. I hope you’ll like it.

Can you include the lyrics in your post? Maybe that’s a weird request, but I’d find it helpful.
Nice to know the lyrics, especially when one runs out of magic spells, mantra and chant to dispel the storm clouds away. Else, I’d be forced to twist the song into something like, “Be happy…if not, tatamaan ka.”
Don’t worry about me. My emoticon is still smiling. Ha!

Let me dedicate this song to Novz whose fave team Netherlands lost to Spain in the World Cup finals. Be happy. In four years, Netherlands will have a crack at the elusive title again.
Seriously, I love this line: “Cause when I wished you happiness I understand I don’t have to be a part of it.”
That’s hard to master. I suspect it might take me a long time to reach that level of understanding and maturity. But life is full surprises, and I may yet surprise myself someday.

yes Jan, that was tough… tougher that I thought, actually
bongga! hahahaha! ang ganda ng song.. ironically, “be happy” is a song about letting someone go… and not being “happy” as the title says… simple yet very moving… i love the lyrics… the lyrics says it all.. parting ways are not always happy… someone else between two couples in a relationship should always suffer… love it!
