Just a little bit of love, just a little bit of hope…
“It’s true, we make a better day just you and me…”
So goes the song, We Are The World and we know what it calls for – for us not to look the other way and do our best to help fight world hunger.
The World Food Program helps make that call a reality, and it really does not take much from us to do our share.
With their Fill the Cup campaign, we can help WFP help fight the world hunger, and it only takes just 1 dollar to fill 4 cups. And if you can give more, imagine how much more hungry child YOU can feed.
It does not really take great efforts to make a difference, and we do not need to make great sacrifices either.
Okay, so maybe we would. But really, how much does it really take to forego a few sticks of cigarettes for one day? Or maybe just cut a portion of our cellphone load credits which we just use to send jokes and quotes. But are those really BIG sacrifices?
Little indulgences that we can really let go even for just a day, just to be able to share. A little gesture could go a long way.
We do not have to do great things. We just have to do our part.
And that is enough.
But of course, there is really nothing stopping us if we want to share some more.

So let us not be contended in our “own world” because like the line in another songs says, “There’s a world outside your window…”
Let us not turn our heads the other way. We do not have to. We can do something, and it would not take much.
Let us help Fill the Cup.
We can help fight world hunger… it does not take much to do that.
Let us do our share.
