A higher calling
A blog is an online journal. An outlet for an individual where he can share his thoughts, experiences and even senseless rants. The struggling blogger is no different from other bloggers, and writes those types of posts too.
However, there will come a time when a blogger will be tapped to heed a higher calling – an advocacy, albeit unplanned, unintentional and maybe did not exist even in the subconscious mind. But when given a chance to help make changes, should a blogger turn it down and just stay within his comfort zone?
Definitely not!
This is what happened to me. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to be one who would be there to start making changes. I have always been a ‘wallpaper,’ I always blend in the crowd and not really one who stands out.
In short, I am but “just a drop of water” in the great sea.
Yet, I am handed a task on my plate. I hesitated. I felt this is too big a shoe for me to fill in. A wide-trunked tree that I could not embrace around. A bite more than I could chew.
But then, an opportunity like this does not come everyday to a guy like me – to heed a higher calling, to help create awareness, through something that I am very much comfortable with – through blogging.
I did the most logical thing to do. I accepted the challenge.
That’s all I can say for now. No details yet. I am still skeptic, not of the cause but of my own capability.
Still searching myself. Hoping that I do have it me, through my blogging, to create an impact, to influence change… to be a catalyst.
So help me, God.
And no! I am not getting into politics.

Una, magandang paraan para sa isang rasyonal na nilalang ang maghanap ng pagbabago. Pagbabago ang dahilan kaya patuloy na may nangyayari sa espasyong ito.
Pangalawa, nabasa ko ang “just drop of water”, huwag kang maniniwala dun, isang malaking halimbawa ng kompormidad ang kasabihang iyon. Ang rasyonal na nilalang bilang tao ay ang pinakamatayog na nilalang mayroon ang espasyong ito. Kung babalikan mo ang kasaysayan, ang nagpabago ng inog ng mundo ay rasyonal na nilalang lang din (Alexander the Great, atbp.). Bawat isa ay may kakayahang baguhin ang mundo. Tandaan, na iisang tao lang din ang kailangan para pindotin ang trigger ng bomba atomika na magpapasabog sa planetang ito.
Pangatlo, ang iyong pinagkalakihang Help me, God. Hindi naman siguro labas sa pagkakakilala mo sa akin na hindi talaga ako naniniwala na may nagaganap na nilalang na may katangian ng Diyos. Kaya naman ang payo ko sa iyo, gawin mo ito ng walang ibang inaasahan at sinisisi kundi ang sarili mo.
Yun lang naman aking kaibigan.

I am myself still but a drop of water in the big ocean of blogs, I know how you feel.
I don’t think bloggers should be afraid to make waves with their blog, share your opinions if you run a personal blog and don’t be afraid of backlash. Standing out is what you want to do, for good or bad, standing out is important. I don’t blog politics on my DragonBloggger, but I do my personal blog.

Ang katotohanan, walang nagagawa ang pagsusulat, aksyon ang dahilan kaya nagkakaroon ng alon sa dagat. Kahit ilang sulatin ang isulat ni Rizal, kung wala si Bonifacio para i-sa-aksyon ito, mawawalan ng katuturan ang lahat. Namatay si Rizal nang hindi nagtagumpay, dahil hindi siya umaksyon.
