My UNLIMITED experience
In spite of my self-doubt and a towering hesitation, I proceeded to attend the UNLIMITED fashion event, and what an experience it was for me!
I was my usual “wallpaper” personality at the start, but it did not take long before I mustered enough courage to approach people and asked them if I can take their pictures.
Fortunately, I was never turned down. And I’d like to thank Odilon for that Press badge he gave me . It gave me enough credibility to be able to take pictures.
So there was I, in a gathering that was way beyond my comfort zone (which is about a square foot or the size of the spot I’m standing on). But I have no regrets, because last night I discovered that Angeles City has lots of beautiful people! I really wish I had a better camera.
Anyway, at the show proper, I positioned myself right in front of the runway. I’m glad that the other photographers allowed me to be in front them. Maybe because their camera have better zoom capability.
As the show started, I started taking pictures to the best of my camera’s ability. Bearing in my mind it’s limitation like a slow shutter speed, and a not-so-good zooming capacity, and not to mention my unsteady hands.
I really wish I could give an intelligible review of the all those fashionable gowns and dresses strutted on the runway. But that would make me sound like a fashion-reviewer-wannabe.
Don’t get me wrong, they were beautiful. I just cannot give details like their texture, colors, cuts and all. I admit though that some simply awed me, and I am not just referring to the models.

The conservative one in me though really enjoyed the Barong Tagalog series. They were really beautiful! With pictures of Cory and Ninoy Aquino, map of the Philippines, and even an image of the Angeles City’s Holy Rosary Parish Church on them. Ingenious!

Reminds me that I haven’t worn a Barong Tagalog for quite a while. I hope I would have a chance to wear one of those Barongs, with my eyes still open, mind you, and not tucked inside a box lying horizontally.
So yes, I enjoyed the event. I enjoyed meeting lots of people, introducing myself as a blogger. I even enjoyed the puzzled look on their faces whenever I asked them if I can take their picture.
And definitely, I enjoyed the show proper.
CONGRATULATIONS PHILIP! You truly are UNLIMITED!
You make Angeles City proud!
Luid ka Philip! Luid ka Angeleño!

Congrats, Roy. Now, you’ve truly earned your right to be a fashionista blogger. From a struggling blogger to being an arbiter of fashion, that’s quite a leap. Ahehehe. Okay, enough already, I know I’m making you uncomfortable.
You did not mention Melanie Marquez. She was a no-show?

Nope. Not a bit uncomfortable, Jan. I think I’m beginning to get the hang of it
oh, if you only get to know the sidelights and an interesting anecdote on it… that is if I am able to post a part two to this experience.
Yes, she was a no-show. But no worries, there were a lot of beautiful faces there that could more than make up for her absence
