My posts have been copied!
So I work hard on my blogs.
I exert efforts on every blog posts that I make. I may not be the best writer or blogger, but every time that I write, what I give is a part of me.
Imagine my surprise when I found out that my blog posts from my travel blog were copied – VERBATIM! From the title down to the last function… and even my grammatical bloopers!
All with nary an attribution as to where this blogger copied his posts. Instead he put links on the words Angeles City to his choice sites which I believe are also his.
My posts Where to eat in Angeles City and Halo-halo in Angeles City were copied and pasted to two different blogs which again, I suspect belong to the same xerox machine… err, I mean person.
What worse, the blogs were selling, or rather, riding the image of the city as an “entertainment” city.
What can be done?… Aside from raising hell.

Yes Jan, it was an NSFW-type of blog.

the “an” for a consonant is good because you pronounced the NSFW as /en-es-ef-dobol-yu/ making the consonant “N” sounded like it was a vowel.. so you are also correct by putting an “an” before the NSFW unless of course you spell out NSFW which by the way changes the rule… this will make an “A not safe for work” statement…
anyway, regarding your bashing rants.. i know the feeling and it is very f*cked up to find out that people are just copying your posts… maybe you can have copyscope widget in your blog so that such websites cannot copy your content… i think websites like this one (the one which copied your blog entries) are auto generated websites… the author just put in some keywords and then voila! the website will crawl the web and look for such keywords and copy the contents…
hays… it’s just so sad…

thanks for the confirmation on the grammar yatot.
as for the “copier,” I don’t think it’s a bot. It’s a real person manning the blog. I noticed, he even deleted my introductory paragraph relating to the hot air balloon fiesta because it is already irrelevant at the time of his posting.
Ay ganun! The nerve! I visited the two sites at xerox copy talaga, ang nawala lang sa post eh yung name mo pati yung date at categories. Same person nga rin sila Kuya based on his profile. And I have a feeling kapangalan mo pa sya.

siya nga ang suspect ko Amor, yung kapangalan ko. because he’s been to my blogs.
hindi ko lang kapangalan, mukhang kabalen ko pa. and it looks like he’s with the government based on his links to the government offices on his pirated posts.

I have already reported his blog to DMCI, and hopefully they will take action.
Now, I’m also going to write the barangay officials
Hi Roy,
So sorry to read about this. You could report the sites to somebody. I have the same problem with both my Tasha’s Take and my novel blogs. They’re both been translated into Tagalog blogs by somebody without my knowledge. It’s out there in the blogosphere somewhere. I just don’t know how to find them again now.
I haven’t been blogging for so long. I finally posted something after being absent for months. I hope to hear from you there.
Tasha

Hi Tasha!
Nice to see you back in the blogosphere. That was a very resourceful “pirate” you got there. He even translated you post!
Too bad, pirates are really everywhere

can you report that somewhere? my problem naman is about a hateful profile with my name on it. it is embarrassing when one someone googles my name and that faux account appears. there should be an online police.
