A blog on a mission
I have created blogs in the past out on a whim. It’s more of the “because I can” attitude that the number of my blogs have grown. But every now and then, there comes a special reason for a blog to be born.
Such is my new blog, HAU Grand Alumni Homecoming which I created as my humble contribution in making our high school batch’s hosting of the grand alumni homecoming this year a success.

I have been a blogger for quite a while now, and I have seen the power of blogging, especially in reaching out to different people. It is with this acknowledgment that hopefully, with the help of my blog, I can reach out to our batchmates, as well as to all alumni of our alma mater, the HolyAngel University, to “come home” this December.
The blog’s mission is help disseminate information to all alumni, especially our batchmates, all plans and actions being undertaken towards the hosting of the grand homecoming.
Aside from the updates, I hope to write some articles too, where in my own little way, I try to all convince alumni to attend the homecoming. And if I can gather some resources, I also would like to post some trivia about “the year that was” in what could be like a “walk down memory lane.”
I believe that by doing so, the yearning will grow in the heart of an alumnus to visit the alma mater and relive all those beautiful memories.
And that is specifically the reason… the mission, of my homecoming blog.

Hello Roy,
I admire how you can do all these things. I guess you have the passion like I do. Good luck.

Your new blog’s goal/mission is so great, Kuya Roy. Maybe I can tell about this to my Mom, because they’re having a reunion, too.

Hi Joseph!
Interesting blog you have! Keep it up!
As for Among Ed, I don’t know if there was already a final decision (or was there? I’m not sure, am not really updated). There’s another election, and he will run again. The people can at least prove their real choice. Unfortunately, Angeles City doesn’t vote for the government position
Hope you will attend the homecoming on December, it would be a great opportunity to catch up with your batchmates. See you!

Thanks po! I came from Porac, and unfortunately I belong to the 2nd district where PGMA is running and my family will not vote for her. It is as simple as “MAKARINE”. From Presidency to a Congress seat. With regards to Among Ed, it is a final decision from the 2nd Division of COMELEC, the unseating of Among Ed. Fortunately, Angeles is not part of gubernatorial election, but I think in one way or another Anglenos will be part of vigil and crusade of Honest and Fair Elections and the Democarcy itself. The cheating, fraud, vote buying and harrassment during 2007 Elections as reflected in Comelec decision is unbelievable. An independent candidate during that time without machinery and political party can’t do such things. PGMA has something to do with it. Anyways 2010 Elections is approaching and the people of Pampanga for sure will guard they vote and surely will elect a righteous leader like Among Ed. Galit lang naman sila kay Among Ed kasi hindi na nila magawa ang mga dati at nakagawian ng kalakarang pangit sa kapitolyo at sa kabuuan ng Pampanga. Hayyy it bleeds my heart for both catholic churches, evangelical (which I belong), christian and other groups did the silent move last 2007 was all ruled by one click of Comelec as a whole fraud. Another slapped on our face as Kapampangan. God bless Pampanga and Philippines.
@Homecoming
Kuya Roy (If you allow me to address you as kuya), I am currently here in Riyadh kaya hindi po me makakapunta sa Homecoming, I’ll be home by April 2011 pa po kasi eh. And I think my batch mates are preparing for our First Reunion 10 years na po kami sa 2011. Maraming salamat po

So there was already a decision, tsk! Tama ka, marami ang na-disappoint kay Among Ed because they weren’t able to do what they thought they can by supporting him during the elections then.
While Angeles City didn’t vote for governor, there were many groups then from here who were campaigning for him, there were even posters of him then in the city. I’m sure they, those who don’t have hidden agenda, will continue to support him now.
As for GMA, I actually have a post on my Kapampangan Blog entitled, “Makarine, Tutu man.”
Anyway, I’m sure you would be attending future homecomings. Ingat.
