Ralph brought home Krispy Kreme doughnuts
What so special about a doughnut?
Well, aside from it’s a Krispy Kreme, it was brought home by my son when he went home from a field trip, two or three days ago.
My son went on an ‘exposure’ field trip last week where they went to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). Now, I actually envy him because I’ve never been to those places.
And since they have lots of time to spare in their hands, they proceeded to the Mall of Asia (MOA) afterwards. Honestly, I suspect it was actually included in their itinerary. That’s where Ralph bought those Krispy Kreme and brought them all the way home to Angeles City.
We know there is already a branch of the creamy doughnut in Marquee Mall here, but we’ve never been there yet. And Ralph was always curious about this much talked-about doughnut brand, so when he had a chance, he made sure he’ll take a bite. I’m glad he was thoughtful enough to bring home some and share it with us.
Although the ones he brought home were the smaller version, still they are not really lacking in creaminess. I believe I have eaten more shares than what Edgar and Angel had, especially since I ate them with my coffee (One of those instances that I tend to forget I’m the adult).
By the way, he enjoyed his field trip – in the PSE, BSP, and MOA. The doughnuts were just highlighted because it was over these doughnuts that he was sharing his adventures… especially, the ‘extra’ free doughnuts he got from Krispy Kreme.
After getting a sampling of those mini-doughnuts Ralph brought home, I now want to go to Marquee Mall because I really wanted to taste that original glazed doughnut variety Rey shared in PatayGutom.com
Pretty soon, I will…

Krispy Kreme was the best doughnut I have ever tasted. It never losos its taste and texture even when stored overnight.

Spoken like a true fan, Walter. I still prefer them warm and fresh in the morning, or at least right there from the store where they’re made. Here, you can buy them in local grocery stores, but they’re trucked in from a distance, daily, and are not the same. They’re good – but not AS good. Of course, if YOU buy them at the Krispy Kreme store, they’re bound to keep well a bit longer than the ones you’d buy at an ordinary grocery store.

Depends on the flavor. There are so many to choose from! Some are too sweet for me, too, ceblogger. But the warm ones…OMG. Sinfully delicious. And not all the varieties are overly sweet.

There’s this puzzling FB request asking me to be a fan of Krispy Kreme. Now I know why! Ahahaha. Sinfully delicious? Now, I’m really intrigued.

I’ve only tasted Krispy Kreme when my sister bought 2 boxes when she went home for vacation 3 years ago. Wala pang Krispy Kreme dito noon. And yes kahit few days na masarap pa rin yung donut. Kung pwede ko nga lang sana ubusin laman ng box sa isang araw eh! Kaso baka diabetis abutin ko nun, hehe.
When I saw their branch at MOA last year, shocks, expensive pala!
I thought marami na akong mabibiling donut sa Mr. Donut at Dunkin Donut nun hehe, ayan di tuloy ako bumili haha.

I love watching you guys discover Krispy Kreme. I was sad when the one closest to me (still about 6 miles away) closed down.
The best time to be there is when the sign is on to let people know there are hot, fresh, glazed donuts on the line – that’s the only time I prefer glazed to other flavors and textures. I also like the creme filled donuts. What a great kid you’ve got, to bring all those home to share – and not eat them all on the bus, on the way back.
I grew up with Krispy Kreme. One of the oldest stores is in my home town: http://www.tastyflorida.com/krispy-kreme-daytona-beach/
