Remembering Ninoy…

Today is the 26th death anniversary of Ninoy Aquino, the man who fought against Ferdinand Marcos… whose death was responsible for bringing back democracy in the Philippines.
But do we really know him?
Senator Nene Pimentel remembers him as a man of destiny and hero of the people.
The youth of today, unfortunately doesn’t know much about him, other than recognizing the fact that he is a hero and he is the P500 bill.
A documentary on the life of Ninoy Aquino has been prepared by Tom Coffman, an independent writer and producer. This would help us… all of us, get to know Ninoy better, and perhaps appreciate and give more value to what he has fought for.
Here’s a trailer of the documentary on YouTube:
Coffman said that the documentary will be shown today on “government television” although he wasn’t sure about the specific channel.
I’m sure most local channels would like to carry this show today. So watch for it.
