Public relations – who’s in charge?
When we speak of public relations, does it mean that it is just fine to malign or downgrade others in order for us to be elevated or to improve our own image? When we go out and try to classify bloggers, does that mean we are over-and-above all other bloggers? Who is really charge? Who has the authority to speak for all the bloggers?
I am no expert in this field, I admit that. But it doesn’t really take a rocket scientist to understand simple courtesy. No bloggers is over-and-above other bloggers, therefore they have no right to classify them as if separating Indios from Penunsilares. All bloggers are equal.
But it’s not surprising really, because I’ve seen one PR man too many who doesn’t know the meaning of public relations. I guess they could learn a thing or two from San Diego Public Relations Service… that is they are humble enough to admit their faults.
