The Struggling Blogger

If I write, will you read? If I beg, will you feed?

A peek into The Struggling Blogger’s past

I could have called this ‘More than meets the eye’ but I was afraid it could be mistaken for a post about the new Transformers movie.

Anyway, once I was asked “why do you want to call yourself a struggling blogger?” If you read my About page in my first Struggling Blogger blog, I wrote there, at the time I created that blog, that I am really struggling — in more ways than one.

Here’s one story where I tell of one my personal struggles, as featured in my friend Jena Isle’s blog… a peek into my past, not-so-distant past actually… an event where I won in an Eat Bulaga contest.

But it’s not really the fact that I won that makes it worthwhile to write, but the stories behind the event that happened.

I’d like to thank Jena for including it in her book and posting it on her blog.

Someday, I hope I can pay you back for all the support that you’re giving me Jena.

At this point, I’d like to invite all my friends, readers, and all others who happened to pass by here… to take a peek into my past… a story I called Let’s Vault In!

Thank you.

I should have gotten here much earlier. Look at that – 2 stories to read. Will read it tomorrow morning, if that’s okay with you. “,)

So you’ve won at Eat Bulaga.? That’s great. at least you’ve met the great Eddie Ilarde and Leila Benites, huh?

Our poet Dr. is hunting you down in Twitter, but you’re nowhere to be found. Nagre-reminisce ka lng pala. “,)

Ako naman nagulat after my vacation – I thought you’re going to buy another Voltes V replica. Hehe.

But you know what, really admire those people I saw on tv shows like eat bulaga. The sheer determination and courage, sprinkled with lots of hope to at least take part on stage or off-stage and win some prizes are simply – nakaka bilib. Everyone has his own reasons, or perhaps, noble goal for every peso won.

This is where you see the reality in humanity. One would do anything and everything just to help someone you love. That is why I don’t understand why some people are criticizing such shows.

As usual, I was just pulling your leg, Roy. Yikees! Hairy! lol

I checked out the story in Jena Isle’s blog.

Love it, Roy. I wish we were family, Roy. Or cousins, even distant cousins will do. Wish you were my high school buddy, or college friend. You make me wish for all these what-could-have-been.

You’re a decent, magnificent man. I’m so proud I have met you.

It’s not my assigned role, but I’m struggling here to express my appreciation of you as a person and friend and a wonderful writer.

I’m glad I checked it out, that story.

    @ Jan

really now, a simple ‘nice story’ would suffice :)

but then knowing you, of course it won’t.

well, I guess, if you were my brother or cousin you would have already kick me in the butt and tell me to find work.

but if you were my high school buddy, you would have gotten bored, because I am so quiet then.

nice tweet you made though… who is Henry?

    thanks for all those compliment

You were not only quiet in high school. You were also asleep at the back row, I think. Ahahaha. Remember O. Henry? The great American short story writer who was famous for the surprise twists in his stories? That’s what I was referring to in my tweet. lol.

hmmm… I will research on that author, I’d like to develop more of that style

nope, I don’t sit at the back. You get more notice that way… it’s easier to get away with things actually when you’re in the front… they wouldn’t even suspect you :)
