Google Chrome, now a faster browser?

Personally, I haven’t tried the Google Chrome browser yet, because of problems on my PC slowing down everytime I download a new application. Until I can have it reformatted, that will have to wait.

Download the new Google Chrome

But news on the new and faster Google Chrome really caught my attention. With the speed being the focus of the new version, does it imply that the current version is indeed slow?

Anyway, whether it was slow or not, it is still a welcome news that it has a faster version now. How fast? It was said to be 25 to 35 percent faster than the current version.

According to the Google Chrome Blog, the new version also comes with new features like auto-filling of personal information on online forms, dragging around tabs of different web pages within the browser windows, full page zoom and auto scroll.

Well, with Chrome landing on the N0. 4 spot in the browser market, gaining only 1.2 percent share worldwide based on study conducted by market research firm Net Applications, the browser really needs to shape up.

Microsoft’s Internet Explorer still dominates with 67.4 percent market share, Mozilla’s Firefox browser came in second with 22 percent share, while Apple’s Safair is third with 8 percent share.

For more updates on Chrome, you can check the Chrome blog. You can also download the new beta version here, should you like to test run it too.

Once I got my PC reformatted, I would definitely want to try this.
