Beating the summer heat

Undeniably it’s summer. The heat is really too much to bear. Almost all day long, the electric fan is blowing straight to my face so I won’t feel this scorching heat.

As I have written in my Roysville blog, there are some business ideas that are brought about by the summer heat. I am in fact doing one of them, although not really for business… but for the kids.

Our way of coping up with the heat.

my homemade ice candiesAnd you might ask what is that, the most simple of course. Every morning, once the kids are off to school, I start to make some ice candies.

When they arrive from school, these are just right, cold and ready to eat. A perfect refreshment for them.

Usually, I do whatever juice flavors are available. Sometimes I make some using chocolate powder drinks.

And for me, of course, I make coffee flavor ice candies! Black coffee of course!

Thoughts of selling ice candies entered my mind, that’s how I made my post in my other blogs. But I don’t want to be disturbed in my blogging every now and then.

So these ice candies, are definitely just for my kids (and some of their classmates who occasionally come to visit them).

Surely, it’s not really that much, but they are enough for us to tolerate the heat of summer… and yes, of course they’re delicious!

I made 10 pcs of ice candy last month and it took me and hubby a few days to finish them. I made it from 1 sachet of tang mango juice powder dissolved in 1 L of water. Of course it was a very good thirst quencher.
