The 14th Hot Air Balloon Fiesta!

Wow! I can’t believe it’s already the 14th Hot Air Balloon Fiesta! I still remember, my son was barely 3 years old when the first Philippine Hot Air Balloon Fiesta was staged.
We woke up at the sound of a strong growling something, one that we’ve never heard before. I went out to see what it was.
Lo and behold! There were I think more than 5 colorful hot air balloons passing by directly above us! The sound came from the equipment which blows hot air to the balloons to keep them afloat.
I immediately called my son and we watched the balloons passed by until we can’t see them anymore.
Since then, we’ve been waiting for them to pass by every year… until we sold our house due to financial problem.
I’m not sure whether they will pass where we live now, but in the previous residences we had, we were not able to see them. I forgot about the annual event actually.
Tomorrow, February 12 will be the first day of the 14th Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, my son who is now 16 years old is telling me that we should go there. Well, I’m not really sure. I guess I’ll just see if we can afford to see the event.
Today, there will be 25 participating countries, the biggest number so far, according to the events’ official site. There would be lots of activities too. Check the sites schedule page for the list of activities for the 4-day event.
I just wish they would pass above where we are now.

Hey Roy. I love watching hot air balloons. We used to have them fly over all the time when I was back home in the mountains. I miss them now.
