Manny Pacquiao to be honored by San Francisco Giants!
The Philippines’ boxing hero has indeed made a name for himself internationally, in fact the Pambansang Kamao will be given special honor in the Manny Pacquiao Day by the San Francisco Giants.
The Manny Pacquiao Day will be held during the SF Giants‘ game with San Diego Padres at AT&T Park on April 21, 2009.
On the said day, Pacquiao will throw out the first pitch and a Pacquiao bobblehead doll will be distributed to the fans.
These dolls will surely make a great collector’s item.
Other activities are also being planned for the said date, but they were not disclosed yet according to SportingNews.com
This special day of Pacquiao at the Major Baseball League will come 11 days before his scheduled fight with Ricky Hatton. The Hatton-Pacquiao match will be on May 2, 2009 and will be held on MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Boxers that were given honored in a baseball game before were Sugar Ray Leonard, Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Kelly Pavlik and Antonio Margarito.
